Terre Mêlée II inNapoli
“The Moon of Seoul and the Sun of Naples”
서울의달과나폴리의태양
“Terre Mêlée II,” meaning “blending of different soils” in French, showcases the artistic dialogue between French painter Arno Boueilh and Korean ceramist Heami Lee, harmonizing their distinct styles and cultural backgrounds.
Arno Boueilh, known for capturing the golden hues of Naples, reveals the hidden facets of Seoul under moonlight, inspired by his nocturnal explorations during their initial collaboration, “Terre Mêlée I” in 2023.
Heami Lee’s ceramics, meticulously molded, fired, and glazed, evoke the subtle elegance of Seoul’s moonlit nights, embodying hope and comfort.
Set under the shimmering sunlight of Naples, the exhibition invites viewers to experience the vibrant colors, warmth, and brilliance of their craftsmanship, reflecting the shared sensibility they discovered in each other’s work.
